Hi! My name is Scratch. I am THE Rabid Mutant Death-Puppy of the Apocalypse.
When I first came home with my new pack leaders, Jeff and Nicole, I was a bit of an untamed little wildling. I liked to run around and chew on things. I really enjoyed peeing in corners and finding new and interesting ways to re-arrange shoes and other tasty treats, when no one was looking.
Do you fear my "Mutant Death-Puppy" ferocity?
When I first got home, there were all these weird things in my way. Plastic gates kept me from exploring the really interesting parts of my new den. There were up parts and down parts that I couldn't get to, no matter how hard I tried.
I guess this was to keep me from getting into stuff that was not for me.
Every weekend me and my new pack go for a long walk out in the mountains. I have discovered that I really really
like these walks. I get so excited when my harness comes out that I can barely stand still long enough to let my Pack
Leader buckle me up. Then we hop in the car (which I like a lot) and head out.
It didn't take me long to realize that the 'wilderness' and things like 'woods', 'fields' and 'creeks' were the perfect environment for a Rabid Mutant Death Puppy of the Apocalypse! I'm a real 'water-baby'
I can't really say I miss my old home. Its so much fun being able to go out for long walks in the wilderness and take life easy.
Soon I'll be totally house-trained and I'll get to explore the strange new places in my new den.
Here's a picture of me after my first haircut! Wow that was a fun time. My Pack Leaders took the time to get me used to being handled in 'that way' so getting my haircut was just a breeze. I can't wait to go back.
